About the Role
As the Director/Privacy Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and improving privacy practices within The MetroHealth System. You will advise internal clients on privacy issues, assist patients with their privacy rights, conduct investigations into privacy violations, and collaborate with IT to ensure data security. Your leadership will be essential in promoting the organization's mission and values.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business Law, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience.
- Master's Degree in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US).
- Progressive leadership experience in privacy or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations and the ability to conduct privacy investigations.
Preferred:
- Juris Doctorate.
- Experience in healthcare or public service.
