Taara is seeking a Director Business Development - Data Centers to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA. The role involves developing strategic partnerships with connectivity providers in the Data Center market to promote Taara's innovative wireless optical communication technologies.
About the Role
As the Director of Business Development for Data Centers, you will define Taara's Go To Market strategy, identify key players in the Data Center market, and establish strategic partnerships to enable the adoption of Taara's FSO technology. You will leverage your understanding of the Data Center ecosystem to drive growth and connectivity solutions.
About You
Required:
Clear understanding of the US Data Center Market ecosystem.
Established relations with key players in the US Data Center Market.
At least 3 years of sales/business development experience in the US Data Center Market.
8+ years of experience in new business development, identifying key partners and establishing successful partnerships (preferably in the Telecommunications industry).
Proven track record of driving long term sales cycles to closure.
Experience in understanding new technology and presenting solutions to key executive contacts.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Experience in business development/partnerships in the Data Center Market outside the US.
Benefits
Base salary range of $250k–$300k+ (inclusive of commission) + equity + benefits.
100% US remote role with 30% to 40% travel required.
