Summary
Foundation Medicine is seeking a Director, Compliance Officer to join their Legal and Compliance Department in Boston, MA. The role involves implementing the Business Ethics and Compliance Program and serving as the main compliance point of contact for business units.
About the Role
As the Director, Compliance Officer, you will identify compliance-related gaps, develop mitigation plans, and work closely with business leaders to mitigate compliance risks. You will shape the Business Ethics and Compliance Program, partner with various business functions, and ensure training aligns with compliance priorities. Additionally, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the program, assist with investigations and audits, and keep senior management informed of compliance trends and program progress.
About You
Required:
- Master’s Degree or other advanced degree such as a Juris Doctor degree.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in a compliance role, including 2+ years of healthcare compliance experience in the life sciences industry.
Preferred:
- Certification in compliance, such as CHC, CCEP, CIPP, CCP, CHPC, or the Seton Hall Law School Compliance Program.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance in the life sciences industry, focused in the diagnostics sector or alternatively in the device or therapeutics sectors.
- Experience working within a comprehensive compliance program with demonstrated success in developing and implementing a program.
- Experience working in a large law firm specializing in healthcare matters and healthcare compliance.
- Experience with learning management systems and delivering training related to compliance.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance issues, including anti-kickback, privacy (e.g., HIPAA and GDPR), False Claims Act, and Stark Law.
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills.
