Summary
Relief For Children (RFC) is seeking a Director, Finance (Part-Time, Volunteer) to provide financial leadership and oversight for the organization, preferably based in the Washington, DC area.
About the Role
As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for safeguarding the financial health of RFC, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and effective budgeting and reporting. Your duties will include developing and managing the annual budget, monitoring financial performance, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, and ensuring compliance with 501(c)(3) requirements. You will work closely with senior leadership and program teams to advance RFC's mission through sound financial management.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- 3+ years of progressive financial management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, non-profit accounting standards, and financial compliance.
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze financial data, and present findings to leadership.
- Experience managing audits, grants, and donor reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
