About the Role
As the Director of Human Resources & Merit System, you will manage and evaluate assigned staff, oversee employee work schedules, and ensure effective departmental operations within budget. You will develop and communicate policies, ensure compliance with personnel laws, and direct recruitment and compensation programs. Additionally, you will implement training programs, oversee administrative hearings, and represent the County in personnel-related matters.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field.
- Twelve years of progressively responsible experience in human resource management, with five years of senior management experience.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PSHRA-CP, PSHRA-SCP, or CCP.
