UCFS Healthcare is seeking a Director of Adult Medicine to join their team in Norwich, CT. The role involves providing comprehensive medical care to adult patients, managing chronic conditions, and diagnosing and treating acute illnesses.
About the Role
As the Director of Adult Medicine, you will direct, coordinate, and oversee patient care for medical patients while providing clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff. You will mentor providers, develop and implement policies to improve performance and quality of care, and collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical services. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and maintain agency policies regarding care delivery.
About You
Required:
- Doctoral degree (MD) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine)
- Physician licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut
- Valid DEA license
- BLS and ACLS required
- Board certified or board eligible in a primary care specialty
- At least 5 years of experience in community health/public health orientation and patient care management
Preferred:
- Strong community health/public health orientation
- Experience in patient care management
