Summary
Cornell University Library is seeking a Director of Business, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship to lead a high-performing team in Ithaca, NY. The role involves managing personnel and services across the Business, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship department, fostering collaboration, and developing innovative library services.
About the Role
As the Director of Business, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship, you will oversee operations of the Management, Nestlé, and Engineering libraries, develop discipline-specific and interdisciplinary services, and build partnerships with various colleges and programs. You will also provide strategic leadership for library services at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in library and/or information science from an ALA-accredited institution or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of five years of professional work experience in an academic library setting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborative partnerships.
- Experience in fostering learning, research, and service in a diverse community.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality research support and teaching services.
- Record of scholarship, professional involvement, and service.
Preferred:
- Three to five years of supervisory or management experience.
- Academic background or library experience in business, engineering, and/or entrepreneurship.
- Experience leading employees through organizational and/or operational change.
