About the Role
As the Director of CDI, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the clinical documentation improvement program. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing CDI policies, collaborating with clinical staff, leading a team of CDI specialists, conducting audits, and ensuring documentation reflects the severity of illness and risk of mortality.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role managing clinical documentation improvement programs.
- Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist.
- Experience in acute care clinical coding.
- RN, APRN, PA, MD, DO licensure.
- Proven leadership skills to mentor a team of CDI specialists.
- Strong knowledge of clinical documentation requirements and coding guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends.
- Proven experience as a system compliance quality leader.
- PROSCI Change Management Certificate or equivalent.
