About the Role
As the Director of Conflicts and Compliance, you will be responsible for managing assigned projects and teams under the direction of the Chief Risk and Security Officer. Your duties will include collaborating with practice groups to document processes, addressing potential risks, analyzing conflicts reports, managing client/matter intake data, performing conflict of interest searches, and ensuring compliance with the firm's policies and procedures related to risk and information governance.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Knowledge Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of risk management experience, preferably in the legal industry.
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and active license to practice law in the United States.
- 5+ years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney or equal experience practicing law.
- Strong understanding of risk management and legal relationships.
Preferred:
- Ability to independently identify conflicts of interest and make decisions to resolve those conflicts.
- Proven track record in developing compliance policies and procedures.
- Exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Strong research skills and ability to problem solve and analyze complex data.
