esVolta, LP is seeking a Director of Development - East to join their team in Newport Beach, CA. The role involves managing the development of greenfield energy storage projects and engaging in all aspects of the development cycle.
About the Role
As the Director of Development, you will report to the Vice President of Development and be responsible for managing large-scale energy project development, including project management, market assessment, and M&A opportunities. You will lead the development of energy storage projects from inception to construction, evaluate regional markets, maintain relationships with key buyers, and prepare RFP responses.
About You
Required:
- 5-7 years of work experience in the power and utilities industry, preferably with energy storage experience.
- Bachelor's degree; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in developing and managing greenfield projects in ERCOT, SPP, and MISO.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of wholesale power markets.
- Solid understanding of energy project economics and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to summarize and present complex information clearly.
