Cambridge Mobile Telematics is seeking a Director of Embedded Systems Engineering to lead the development of embedded software and firmware for next-generation IoT devices in Cambridge, MA.
About the Role
As the Director of Embedded Systems Engineering, you will define and execute a software and firmware development roadmap, establish necessary infrastructure and methodologies for high-quality releases, and provide guidance to engineers. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful execution of the IoT product roadmap, oversee project timelines, and enhance team skills and career growth.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 9+ years experience in embedded software/firmware engineering.
- 5+ years experience managing software/firmware teams through product deployment cycles.
- Solid understanding of agile software development methodologies.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with team-based firmware development processes and conducting formal design reviews.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a high growth environment.
