About the Role
As the Director of Finance and Administration, you will partner with the Chair to develop a strategic vision for the Department, ensuring stellar performance in teaching, research, and service. You will implement systems for financial planning, operations, human resources, and sponsored research management, while also overseeing a team of four. This position requires substantial independent administrative authority and representation of the department in various committees.
About You
Required:
- Advanced degree (master's or higher) or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years of management-level experience in administrative and financial functions in higher education or research.
Preferred:
- Knowledge and experience with NIH grants and UNC system regulations.
- Experience with PeopleSoft/ConnectCarolina and Infoporte.
