Voyant Photonics is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead their transition from pre-production to full-scale manufacturing in New York, NY. This role is pivotal in building the operational engine for delivering high-performance hardware products.
About the Role
As the Director of Manufacturing Operations, you will be responsible for establishing and scaling production capabilities, managing suppliers and contract manufacturers, and ensuring high-quality output. You will work closely with engineering teams to translate product designs into reliable manufacturing operations, develop production plans, and implement quality management systems. This role requires leading cross-functional teams and building vendor relationships to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of experience managing contract manufacturers, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in advanced high volume manufacturing environments, with a focus on automotive modules or sensors.
- Hands-on approach with high attention to detail.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 15% of the time.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
