Summary
Lensa is seeking a Director Of Mechanical Engineering to lead their mechanical engineering practice across mission-critical and large-scale infrastructure projects. This position is fully remote, with a hybrid option available for local candidates in Phoenix, AZ or Austin, TX.
About the Role
As the Director Of Mechanical Engineering, you will oversee the strategic development, technical delivery, and operational excellence of mechanical engineering services. Your responsibilities include leading the Mechanical Division, managing engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence in system design, driving design quality, collaborating in pre-construction phases, representing mechanical engineering with clients, mentoring teams, monitoring performance, innovating design solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
About You
Required:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including 12 years in data center MEP or mission-critical facilities.
- Active PE License with experience stamping as engineer of record.
- Mechanical engineering expertise in HVAC and liquid cooling systems.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE standards and building codes.
Preferred:
- LEED AP BD+C certification.
- Experience with building and scaling engineering teams across markets and regions.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Experience reviewing and stamping designs, calculations, and technical documentation.
