AllStar Staffing Group is seeking a Director of Practice Management for the Intellectual Property Group of a leading law firm. This full-time direct hire opportunity offers an excellent salary range of $195k–$200k and benefits along with a hybrid work schedule.

About the Role

As the Director of Practice Management, you will oversee daily business operations, including financial health, internal organization, business development, and practice expansion. You will work closely with the Department Chair to drive productivity and collaboration, support the creation of business and marketing plans, manage onboarding processes, and monitor financial performance. Additionally, you will ensure effective supervision and training of paraprofessionals, organize department meetings, and implement technology improvements to enhance efficiency and client value.

About You

Required:

Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of law firm experience.
Prior experience in intellectual property practice management, including familiarity with patent and trademark practice.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Thorough understanding of the legal industry and law firm management.
Strong financial literacy, including experience with budgeting and profitability analysis.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation expertise and professionalism.
Proficiency with technology and experience designing or implementing new processes.

Preferred:

An advanced degree in law or business.
Experience with patent and trademark prosecution deadlines and systems.
Ability and willingness to travel for office visits and events.
