Tree Top Staffing LLC is seeking a Director of Quality to join their team in Northern New Jersey. The role involves leading quality management systems across casting, machining, and assembly operations in the aerospace and defense manufacturing sector.
About the Role
As the Director of Quality, you will develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with AS9100, ISO 9001, and Nadcap standards. You will lead internal and external audits, oversee inspection processes, drive root cause analysis, manage First Article Inspection (FAI) and PPAP/APQP activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality. Additionally, you will analyze quality KPIs and mentor a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing.
- Extensive knowledge of quality standards and regulatory frameworks: AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap, ITAR.
- Experience managing audits and customer approvals.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Strong background in metrology, GD&T, and non-destructive testing.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and ERP systems.
