About the Role
As the Director of Research and Development, you will be responsible for leading the development, optimization, and scale-up of new bakery products including breads, pastries, and frozen dough systems. You will collaborate with various departments to translate business needs into commercially viable solutions, mentor R&D talent, and ensure adherence to food safety and regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on leadership style to drive innovation and influence cross-functional teams.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Bakery Science, or related field.
10+ years of experience in bakery product development.
5+ years of leadership or team management experience.
Proven track record of delivering successful product innovations to B2B customers.
Preferred:
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Strong technical expertise in baking science, ingredient functionality, formulation, and manufacturing processes.
Experience in customer-facing roles with strong problem-solving and influence skills.
