Summary
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Director, Software Engineering - Shared Services to lead the strategy, delivery, and support of enterprise platforms, integration and testing capabilities in Atlanta, GA.
About the Role
As the Director of Software Engineering - Shared Services, you will guide and enable team members, hire and develop employees, promote Principle Based Management culture, drive the vision for shared enterprise platforms, oversee deployment and improvement of platforms like Kubernetes and NATS, lead integration capabilities, manage centralized testing services, foster partnerships, and drive innovation in platform operations.
About You
Required:
- Proven foundational experience with cloud platforms (AWS), container orchestration (Kubernetes), messaging technologies (NATS), and integration platforms (EDI, Mulesoft).
- Proven leadership in building and scaling platform and integration capabilities for a large, distributed organization.
- Demonstrated experience applying and/or implementing Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
- Experience with global, distributed technical teams.
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience leading quality engineering teams focused on test automation and defect prevention.
