About the Role
As a Disaster Recovery Public Assistance Specialist, you will work with Federal and State Recovery Programs, applying analytical techniques to resolve grants administration issues. Your responsibilities will include developing program-specific guidance, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining communication with project partners. You will also be required to travel to client offices and disaster recovery sites for multiple week assignments.
About You
Required:
2+ years of FEMA, State or Local Public Assistance experience addressing operational issues in disaster recovery operations.
2+ years of experience analyzing FEMA project worksheets.
3+ years of professional work experience.
Must be able and willing to travel as required for project work with minimal notice.
Must have a valid United States driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
Knowledge in applying analytical techniques to grants administration issues.
Experience addressing strategic issues in disaster recovery operations.
Experience with FEMA Public Assistance policy and guidance.
Background in various types of construction.
FEMA Certifications.
