About the Role
As a Distinguished Engineer, Secure Service Mesh, you will set and drive the architectural design and strategic technical directions for the Secure Service Mesh team. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing high-quality features for data plane reliability and scalability, collaborating with Product Management for customer requirements, and providing technical leadership while building scalable services that inspect network protocols at line rate using advanced algorithms.
About You
Required:
- 15+ years of overall experience, including 10+ years in high-performance networking software and cloud services.
- Expertise in either datapath high efficient packet processing or high performant service mesh in C++ or Golang.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, multi-threading, CPU scheduling, and memory management with practical Linux knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
- Familiarity with open source technologies like gRPC, Envoy Proxy, Kong, Kubernetes.
- Proponent of TDD and knowledge of various unit testing frameworks.
