About the Role
As a Distribution Designer 2 - Grid, you will work in a project team environment, leading other engineers and designers. Your responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing construction sketches for overhead and underground distribution facilities, conducting pole loading analyses, voltage drop calculations, and cost estimates, as well as supporting project scoping and maintenance of distribution components. You will also provide construction support and conduct client communications as necessary.
About You
Required:
- Associate's degree in a design-related field or a 4-year non-engineering degree.
- 6 or more years of experience with electric utility distribution or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of physical distribution design methods and applicable codes and standards.
- Proficiency in distribution software programs including AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead a project team.
Preferred:
- Experience in utility distribution inspections and/or construction.
- Familiarity with various distribution design/analysis software.
- Familiarity with GIS software.
