About the Role
As a Dog Sitter, you will be responsible for in-home dog sitting visits, dog walks, and following care instructions precisely. Your duties will include providing exercise and enrichment for dogs, ensuring their safety during walks, and maintaining communication with clients through updates and photos. This role requires reliability, punctuality, and a calm demeanor with dogs of all sizes.
About You
Required:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Real dog-care experience (professional is a plus, not required).
- Physically capable of demanding work (walking, stairs, bending, extended time on your feet).
- Confidently handle dogs from small to large.
- Have a smartphone with reliable data and camera for app-based updates.
- Organized enough to manage schedules, keys/access instructions, and detailed routines.
- Able to pass a criminal background check and provide references.
- Able to handle unexpected situations calmly and follow safety protocols.
Preferred:
- Pet first aid/CPR certification.
- Medication experience (pills, injections, fluids).
- Experience handling leash pulling, reactivity, or anxious dogs using safe, positive methods.
- Availability during peak demand (especially summer and winter holidays).
