Loveland Center is a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization Southwest Florida that provides life skills development programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to help each individual that we support live their life to the fullest, making choices that let them live the life that THEY want to live. Loveland Center's programs: Promote daily life skills such as self-care and personal development; Improve independent living skills such as money management, community access, and home management Strengthen employment skills that can lead to building a successful career, thereby leading to increased independence and self-reliance. Through each of Loveland’s programs, individuals are educated and supported to live as independently as they can, as well as inspired and encouraged to become active members of their communities. Individuals, regardless of their abilities, can discover untapped potential, build self-confidence, and further develop skills that will last a lifetime. We practice the “dare to dream” philosophy where we support the individuals we serve to dream big and reach for their goals. Whether they dream of being able to eat independently, write their own name, get a job, their own apartment, or star in a show – we will help them develop the skills they need to move closer to that goal.
