About the Role
As an Early Career Civil Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of transmission line design, including new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions. You will support project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations, while also assisting in the preparation of final design plans and cost estimates. The position requires adherence to WSP's Code of Conduct and ethical decision-making.
About You
Required:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026 or later.
- Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- 0-1 years of experience.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred:
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- Familiarity with design software (i.e., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS).
- Prior internship related to the degree of study.
- Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, and surveying.
