Summary

About the Role
As an Early Childhood Home Visitor, you will be responsible for implementing the Family Spirit Home Visiting Curriculum, providing direct home-based parent education, and supporting the wellbeing and development of children. You will work closely with families to establish healthy environments, connect them to community resources, and collaborate with team members to achieve program goals.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree OR two years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience in Public Health, Nursing, Family Sciences or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate Infant and Early Child Development, Principles and Practices of Maternal and Child Health, Safety and Nutrition, Family Dynamics and Positive Parenting Skills.
- Driver’s License and Car is required.
Preferred:
- Two or more years of experience providing parent education or health education, preferably in a home visiting setting.
- Knowledge of mental health, chemical dependency, domestic violence.
- Training in working with low-income families, diverse populations, and those who are homeless.

Simpson Housing Services
Our mission is to house, support, and empower people impacted by homelessness. Simpson Housing Services began as an emergency overnight shelter at Simpson United Methodist Church in 1982. For four decades, we have been a leading nonprofit helping people experiencing homelessness. In response to unmet community needs, our key programs have grown to include the following: an extended-stay shelter; supportive housing programs for youth, single adults, and families; and developmental and educational services for children. We annually support 2,000 people experiencing and transitioning out of homelessness, including 300 families with 650 children.
