Summary
YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester is seeking a Director of Early Learning to provide visionary leadership for their early childhood education program in Valhalla, NY.
About the Role
As the Director of Early Learning, you will lead and manage daily operations, design and implement curriculum, ensure compliance with regulations, supervise staff, and foster family and community partnerships. You will also oversee budget planning and strategic growth initiatives in alignment with the YMCA's mission.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in early childhood education, including at least two (2) years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, child assessment, and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Thorough understanding of NYS licensing regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing budgets and administrative responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and community engagement.
