Summary
ICF is seeking an Early Learning Professional Development Specialist for the National Center on Head Start Early Learning, Health, and Family Engagement. This role focuses on delivering high-quality professional development to Head Start program staff and OHS Regional TTA Specialists.
About the Role
As an Early Learning PD Specialist, you will develop and deliver professional development opportunities for Head Start programs, ensuring alignment with Head Start Program Performance Standards and Early Learning Outcomes Framework. You will facilitate training sessions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and apply adult learning principles to enhance staff capacity. The position requires up to 50% travel for various events.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience delivering professional development and training in early learning systems and Head Start programs.
- 1+ year of experience with HSPPS, ELOF, and effective teaching practices.
- 1+ year of experience training ECE audiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
- 1+ year of experience with DLLs, children with disabilities, or programs serving families facing adversity.
- 1+ year of experience applying adult learning theory.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Experience working with the Head Start TTA system.
- Experience supporting AIAN or MSHS programs.
- Fluently bilingual (Spanish).
