About the Role
As an Early Career Substation Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality designs including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and more. You will support QA/QC for deliverables, learn client standards, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
About You
Required:
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
- BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from an accredited university preferably with a power option.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering.
- Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred:
- Engineer in Training Certification.
- A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
- 3+ months of relevant electrical engineering work experience; could be on an internship or co-op basis.
- Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA).
- Knowledge of electrical utility substations and familiarity with substation design.
