About the Role
As an ED Podium - Public Safety Officer, you will patrol assigned areas, respond to service calls, direct vehicle traffic, and ensure the safety and security of hospital facilities. You will also investigate incidents, document findings, and assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience in a customer-focused service-based organization
- Valid Illinois Firearm Owner’s Identification Card within 90 days of start date
- Current CPR certification within 90 days of start date
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred:
- Two years of experience in law enforcement, military, or private security
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Fundamental understanding of computers, loss prevention, and fire/security technology
- Certification by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) within twelve months of start date
