Crescent Communications is seeking an EHS Assistant Cook - Part-Time to join their Early Head Start team in Marion, Indiana. The role involves supporting the EHS Cook in preparing nutritious meals and maintaining kitchen facilities.
About the Role
As an EHS Assistant Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals/snacks that meet the developmental, medical, and allergy needs of infants and toddlers. You will ensure food is appealing and nutritious, maintain accurate dietary/allergy records, inspect kitchen safety, and transport meals between sites. Additionally, you will support classroom needs and special events.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or GED; at least 21 years of age.
Serve Safe Certification and food service experience preferred (must obtain Serve Safe upon hire if not already certified).
Valid driver’s license with ability to meet agency insurability requirements.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to cook, bake, and follow recipes.
Ability to stand, bend, lift/carry 5–50 lbs, and transport food.
