Summary
Argen Corporation is seeking an EHS Technician II to join their team in San Diego, CA. The role involves supporting the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team in implementing and maintaining various EHS programs.
About the Role
As an EHS Technician II, you will assist in identifying workplace hazards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your responsibilities will include organizing and conducting inspections of facilities, monitoring site conditions for compliance, promoting safety awareness, and collaborating with other departments. You will also be involved in incident investigations, training personnel in safe work procedures, and maintaining EHS records.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree or higher in environmental health safety or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Two or more years of experience as an EHS Technician or in a similar EHS role.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local related laws and regulations.
- Solid understanding of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and EHS software tools.
Preferred:
- Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Transportation certificate (49 CFR 172.704).
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG (MD) R Sch3.
