About You
- Associate’s degree in electrical engineering, public utility management, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in electric utility systems, including supervisory and/or management experience.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL) valid in the State of North Carolina.
- Experience with project management and coordination.
- Experience in municipal electric systems.

The Town of Huntersville is one of the fastest growing communities in North Carolina with a population of over 60,000. Huntersville is an excellent place to live, work and play. The town was incorporated in 1873 and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Town Board of Commissioners consists of a mayor and six commissioners. The Town has 180 plus employees working in six departments: Administration/Finance, Engineering, Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Planning, and Police. In addition, the town works closely with the volunteer fire department (Huntersville Fire), the regional economic development agency (Lake Norman Economic Development), and two enterprise funded organizations (Electricities and Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics).
