Jacobs is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls Superintendent to join their team in Conshohocken, PA. The role involves leading daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, ensuring safety and compliance, and fostering team collaboration.
About the Role
As an Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls Superintendent, you will conduct project meetings, maintain documentation, perform onsite inspections, review project deliverables, ensure compliance with design specifications, support project management in change management, track construction progress, and build partnerships with clients and contractors. You will spend 45-75% of your time in the field and the rest in meetings and planning sessions.
About You
Required:
- At least 15+ years of construction site experience.
- At least 10+ years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager.
- Strong knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components, contract management, and project delivery methods.
- Advanced knowledge of general construction activity sequencing and execution.
- Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls systems and associated equipment.
- Experience with 3D modeling software and time on active construction projects.
- Knowledge of Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), Building Automation Systems (BAS), and process controls systems.
- Strong knowledge of project schedule management.
- Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing/reporting.
- Experience with pre-dynamic and dynamic walkdown and start-up processes.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Life Science construction experience.
- Experience with process utility system and equipment systems.
- Knowledge of starting up equipment and systems until project turnover.
- Understanding of regulatory processes for qualification of process systems.
- Experience with LEAN strategies and technologies in project execution.
