Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join their team in Hendersonville, NC. The role involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of industrial automation systems with a focus on PLC programming and control system design.
About the Role
As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for automated manufacturing equipment, programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, developing HMI and SCADA systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and reliability.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
- Strong experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
- Experience developing HMI or SCADA systems.
- Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and control diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with robotics integration.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
- Experience with servo systems, motion control, or vision systems.
- Background working with machine builders or system integrators.
