Summary
Sonos, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Branch, LA. The role involves electrical hardware design, testing, implementation, and support for product redesign and cost-reduction projects.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and testing electrical hardware, supporting sustaining responsibilities such as failure analysis and performance improvements, and participating in multi-disciplinary project teams. You will provide feedback to the Product Development team, partner with Quality and Customer Support, ensure compliance with regulations, drive continuous improvements in engineering processes, and travel to support product builds and resolve technical issues.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of Hardware design/development (PCBA level) and electrical engineering experience for a Bachelor's degree, preferably in consumer electronics product development.
- Major experience in the Analog signal chain, audio signal, and Class-D amplifier design.
- Experience in audio precision testing, troubleshooting, and understanding amplifier circuitry.
- Experience with schematic entry and PCB layout tools, and understanding of PCB routing technology, especially on high-speed buses.
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred:
- Minimum of 5 years of Hardware design/development (PCBA level) and electrical engineering experience for a Master's degree, or 7 years for a Bachelor's degree, with experience in consumer electronics product and radio system development.
- Experience in power and audio amplifier development.
- Understanding of compliance engineering including Safety and EMC/EMI or Radio certification, with the ability to perform EMC debugging and troubleshooting.
- A mix of product development and operation engineering experience, with cost-down project experience being a plus.
- Leadership skills to manage JDM engineers and run projects in a JDM way.
