Baxter Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in St George, UT. The role involves designing, testing, and integrating high-power electrical systems for their Dragonfly autonomous aircraft, aimed at combating wildfires.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from concept through deployment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading design reviews, and supporting field testing. Your responsibilities will include designing and testing power electronics, developing generator systems for hybrid-electric propulsion, and implementing high-voltage distribution strategies for aircraft platforms.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's degree (BS) or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2+ years of relevant experience in aviation, automotive, robotics, or similar industries.
Strong background in power engineering, high-power systems, and energy storage.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and validate systems above 5,000 watts.
Preferred:
Experience with Altium Designer for PCB layout.
Previous PCB design and validation experience.
Familiarity with hybrid-electric or aerospace power systems.
Hands-on experience integrating electrical systems with multidisciplinary platforms.
