About the Role
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working alongside senior engineers on various aspects of substation design. Your responsibilities will include developing design components such as one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams, as well as performing design calculations and assisting with QA/QC checks. You will also learn client standards and processes while working independently or in teams to complete complex designs.
About You
Required:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Demonstrated interest in consulting engineering or the electric utility industry.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited electrical engineering or related Masters or PhD program.
- Successful completion of junior-level courses in power system analysis and/or protection.
- Prior internship or related engineering experience.
- Students who have passed or are scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam.
- Familiarity with design and drafting software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, and AUTOCAD.
