KBR Careers is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves contributing to the Electrical Engineering Department by learning technical skills required for a power systems electrical engineer while assisting with valuable deliverables for customer projects.
About the Role
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will gain practical experience in the Electrical Department, understanding the daily responsibilities of an electrical power engineer. Your tasks will include compliance with safety and quality assurance plans, attending customer site meetings, validating electrical engineering work, assisting in reviewing equipment drawings, supporting commissioning efforts, and developing electrical load lists and cable schedules.
About You
Required:
Working towards a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Completion of all discipline-specific curriculum through Sophomore/2nd year.
Strong knowledge of and use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
Exposure to power system study software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, etc.).
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
