Summary
Merrick & Company is looking for an Electrical I&C Engineer III for their growing Los Alamos, NM project office. The role involves supporting Nuclear Services and Technology (NST) projects related to Department of Energy (DOE) work and other industrial power generation projects.
About the Role
As an Electrical I&C Engineer III, you will design projects and may lead other engineers and designers on project tasks. Your responsibilities will include leading the electrical and instrumentation engineering team, interfacing with clients and project management, designing electrical systems for various clients, developing specifications and wiring drawings, ensuring technical accuracy, and traveling to client project sites.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience
- Nuclear related design (NQA-1, NRTL, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge of electrical distribution systems at various voltages (120 VAC through 480VAC)
- Piping & Instrumentation (P&ID) interpretation
- Capable of Instrumentation selection and datasheet preparation
- Familiar with Control System Design (PLC, DCS)
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Preferred:
- Experience with power analysis design software (ETAP, or SKM Power Tools)
- E. (Professional Engineer) License or the ability to obtain within six (6) months
