Summary
WestRock Company is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join their team in Syracuse, NY. The role involves supporting the overall planning process for maintenance activities at the Smurfit Westrock Solvay Mill.
About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for the overall success of the planning function, including estimating repair times and costs, maintaining an accurate backlog, visiting job sites, writing job packages, and communicating effectively with various teams. You will also manage material purchases, supervise outside contractors, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED and 5+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Craftsman or Maintenance Planner.
- Proficient with computer skills and experience with an automated maintenance management system.
- Ability to read detailed equipment drawings and identify part numbers and specifications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to estimate time and materials needed to accomplish tasks.
Preferred:
- Experience with an asset management system.
- ISO experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
