About the Role
As an Electrical Physical Designer 2, you will work in a multi-disciplined team to create design drawings based on input specifications. Your responsibilities will include applying computer-aided drafting skills, receiving training in 3D design software, creating scaled drawings, assisting experienced designers on site, and interfacing with vendors and contractors to explain design adjustments.
About You
Required:
- An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
- Six (6) or more years of physical design experience, including grounding layouts, underground duct bank drawings, cable tray layouts, and electrical equipment location drawings.
- Advanced drafting experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer assistance.
- Ability to multi-task across projects.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans and models.
- Understanding of engineering science and technology applications related to technical design.
