Smithfield Foods is seeking an Electrician for the 3rd shift to join their team in Cudahy, WI. The role involves maintaining, controlling, and servicing refrigeration and electrical equipment in the plant.
About the Role
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing temperature controls, pressure gauges, and pneumatic controls. You will also troubleshoot refrigeration systems, operate and maintain boilers, and assist in training Instrument Mechanics. Daily checks of dry rooms and smokehouses, as well as monitoring incoming water and electrical utility, are also part of your responsibilities.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Good verbal and written English skills required.
- Must be able to pass Refrigeration certification test under the PSM program within the first 12 months of acceptance of position.
