CACI International Inc is seeking an Electronics Technician to join their team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role involves fabricating wiring harnesses and cable assemblies, supporting engineers in the assembly and testing of electronic devices, and troubleshooting electronic components.
About the Role
As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for soldering a wide range of electronic components, performing functional testing on completed assemblies, reworking solder joints on densely populated PCBs, and collaborating with engineers to rectify design discrepancies. You will also build prototypes, inspect populated boards, and maintain stock levels of manufacturing consumables.
About You
Required:
- Knowledge or experience with analog or digital RF circuits.
- Experience in the use of RF test equipment like network and spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and power meters.
- Ability to design, fabricate, and perform PCB assembly of surface mount and through-hole components.
- Experience working with common connector types such as Deutsch, Molex, and MIL-spec connectors.
- Hands-on experience supporting engineers in prototyping or hardware development environments.
- Demonstrated experience in wiring harness and mil-spec cable fabrication.
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- A Secret clearance is the minimum requirement to begin employment, with the requirement to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of various modulation formats in communication.
- Altium Designer experience.
- IPC soldering certification (e.g., IPC-610, J-STD-001).
- Experience with design and integration of electronics on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) or related technologies.
