About the Role

As an Eligibility Counselor 1, you will learn to manage a workload of initial and ongoing eligibility determinations for SNAP and TANF programs. Your responsibilities will include conducting interviews with customers, providing case management, calculating monthly income and expenses, and ensuring accurate receipt of entitled benefits. You will also assist customers with the application process and develop partnerships with vendors to promote available services.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree or two years of full-time para-professional experience as an Eligibility Assistant.
Ability to complete a criminal history disclosure form and agree to release all records involving criminal history.

Preferred:

Experience in customer service or case management.
Familiarity with SNAP and TANF program policies.
