Summary
Sparton is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer III (Sr. Embedded Software Engineer) to join their team in De Leon Springs, FL. The role involves designing and developing software applications for real-time embedded systems.
About the Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer III, you will be responsible for coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting software applications. You will develop software modules in C for embedded systems, create test software in C, C++, Python, and Labview, and participate in design reviews. You will also be involved in low-level software development, driver creation, and testing using lab instrumentation.
About You
Required:
- 4-year degree in BSCS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Experience developing embedded software in C or C++.
- Experience with FreeRTOS and Micrium uC-OSII and uC-OSIII.
- Experience with device driver and operating system implementation.
Preferred:
- Experience with microprocessor components and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, etc.).
- Electrical/Electronic design experience including schematic capture and board layout.
- Desktop and network software development experience.
