Belcan is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Simi Valley, CA. The role involves designing, developing, and debugging software for core products in a collaborative environment.
About the Role
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will capture and derive functional requirements, apply software standards to develop safety-critical applications, author design documentation, and manage project activities. You will work with microcontrollers, develop drivers, and identify continuous improvement opportunities while collaborating with a software engineering team.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science Technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
- Experience using C at a low level (microcontrollers, drivers, interacting with hardware).
- Experience with software verification of embedded systems.
- Experience with version control and configuration management systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with system verification using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Aerospace Software Engineering Compliance with DO-178B/C.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Benefits
