The role involves performing nonprofessional direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse and assisting medical staff in an emergency setting.
About the Role
As an Emergency Department Associate, you will observe and report patient concerns, assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, record vital signs, and maintain a clean and safe environment. You will also assist in specimen collection, perform routine tests, and support administrative tasks within the department.
About You
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred:
Currently certified as a West Virginia Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic or applicable state licensure.
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Two years of college in an applicable course of study or two years’ experience in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital setting.
