About the Role
As an Emergency Department Paramedic, you will assess patients' urgent medical needs, stabilize their conditions, and provide various emergency care duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs and CPR, initiating cardiac monitoring, and assisting with patient transport and sterile procedures.
About You
Required:
- Completion of an accredited EMS-Paramedic training program
- Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of start date in the Emergency Department
- Clinical experience through an EMS Paramedic training program
Preferred:
- International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
- One year of experience as an EMT-P
