Summary
World Relief is seeking an Employment Specialist to join their team in High Point, NC. The role involves building relationships with employers, enrolling refugee clients into employment services, and assisting them in securing appropriate job opportunities.
About the Role
As an Employment Specialist, you will conduct employment orientations for refugees, assess their skills to develop employment plans, provide job counseling, and coordinate vocational skills training. You will also follow up with clients post-placement and assist with grant reporting and paperwork.
About You
Required:
- Mature and personal Christian faith.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Preferred:
- Experience in a social work/human services setting assisting people in need.
- Proficiency in a language other than English, especially Arabic, Burmese, or Swahili.
