UNC Health is seeking an EMT-B Specialty Care Transport to join their team in Rocky Mount, NC. The role involves providing safe and timely ground transport of patients while delivering basic life support care.
About the Role
As an EMT-B Specialty Care Transport, you will monitor patient conditions during transport, perform appropriate interventions according to protocols, communicate with medical staff and stakeholders, document patient status and care delivery, operate medical equipment, and participate in patient care plans. You will also provide personal and basic nursing care under the supervision of the RN Shift Supervisor when not engaged in transport duties.
About You
Required:
- High school graduate or GED.
- Current EMT-B certification with the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services.
- BCLS Certification (recertification required every 2 years).
- CPI Certification (must obtain within 1 year of hire, recertification required every 2 years).
- Valid NC Driver's License.
- 2 years’ experience as an EMT (B).
